Maine Coast Trekkers Reach Acadia NP

We woke up at 6:30 and said goodbye to our favorite campsite. We had bagels and peanut butter and Nutella for breakfast. Seth led us to our first stop, Shaws, where we ate a yummy lunch and tried to dry off from the rain. Once we started biking again, everyone was cold and wet, so we stopped for hot chocolate. We kept biking motivated by hopes to get to Acadia! Luckily we got to explore Bar Harbor before arriving at the campsite. We got toasty in a pizza shop and didn’t have to make our own dinner. Even though we couldn’t fully enjoy bar harbor because of the rain and wind, some of us still got to buy some cool souvenirs. Finishing the ride to Acadia was pretty cool, as we left Bar Harbor, riding up the mountain was spooky, almost like the opening to a horror movie. It was very windy, there was a ton of fog, the clouds were low.  Around 8pm we finally pulled up to the campgrounds where we have 2 large wooded sites. After setting up tents, we went to bed. Off to explore Acadia more tomorrow!  The Main Coast Crew
