Trek Description
On this incredible 4- country adventure, you’ll bike through major cities and quaint villages in Britain, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, visiting major museums and monuments, eating at great local restaurants, and getting to know each place’s music, art, history, landscapes, and people. You’ll stay in hostels and hotels, and camp out in the countryside between touring major cities with great bike culture.
You’ll begin in southwestern Britain at Windsor Castle and Stonehenge, then take a ferry to France and follow the Seine, visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral at Rouen, Monet’s house and gardens at Giverny, the Palace of Versailles, and Paris. In Paris, you’ll see Montmartre, the Louvre, the Champs- Elysees, and the Eiffel Tower, dine in classic sidewalk cafes, and do so much more in this one- of- a- kind city. A train will carry you to Belgium, where you’ll bike between the beautiful cities of Bruges and Ghent, seeing stunning medieval architecture, enjoying delicious food, and traveling alongside the canals that run through each city. Then it’s on to the Netherlands to bike through Amsterdam, a city with centuries of history and culture, plenty of quirk, and, believe it or not, the occasional bicycle traffic jam. You’ll visit the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Anne Frank House here.
Another ferry will bring you back to Great Britain to cycle through green, rolling East Anglia, with a stop in Cambridge, and finally you’ll spend 3 days exploring cosmopolitan London before your flight home.

Why Choose European Grand Tour
Food & Culture
What’s nice about traveling across multiple countries is the opportunity to enjoy a diversity of cultural experiences, cuisine and history. You’ll eat delicious pasta in France, Dutch chocolate and waffles in the Netherlands and Belgium, fish and chips in London, and that’s just the food! You will explore prehistoric history of England while visiting Stonehenge, admire 17th Century French art at the Palace of Versailles, and walk along the Brugge medieval architecture, all while learning about modern day culture all the way from Amsterdam to London.
Unbeatable Bike Infrastructure
Biking in Europe is an experience all by itself. On the European Grand Tour, you will bike through some of the most iconic bike communities on the map. Bikes outnumber people in the Netherlands, and with a strong national emphasis on smaller transportation, you are more likely to find a bike traffic jam than a car jam. You might even find yourself parking in a bike parking garage! In Belgium and France, you will find extensive bike networks and a bike friendly community. London has a great network of low-traffic roads catering to cyclists and pedestrians. You will most definitely leave thinking, “Man, I wish we had this kind of bike infrastructure in America!”
Best of Europe
We’ve designed this route to include stops at some of the best cities in Europe. Amsterdam, Ghent, Brugge, Paris and London, you are bound to walk away feeling like you experienced a significant slice of Europe. In the four countries you bike through, you will get a full European experience. Medieval architecture, a wide array of museums, unique cultural cuisine, quaint countrysides, cobblestone roads, castles, canals and so much more.
