Maine Coast Trek

The beautiful harbors, small towns, and winding back roads along the coastline from Boston, MA to Bar Harbor, ME make this biking and camping adventure unforgettable. From just north of Boston, we’ll cycle through historic coastal cities, then head to New Hampshire for fun at beautiful beaches, resort towns, and state parks.

You’ll spend time in Portsmouth and Portland, both cities rich in maritime history and culture, and shop in nearby Freeport, the home of LL Bean. You’ll bike across the Penobscot Narrows Bridge and look out over vistas stretching 100 miles from the 420’ tall Penobscot Narrows Observatory, the tallest bridge public bridge observatory in the world. Then it’s on to Acadia National Park to bike along carriage roads, hike Cadillac Mountain, and check out the trendy shops and eateries in Bar Harbor.
