We woke up to a yapping puppy right at 5:30, taking a slow morning on the ranch, signing the guestbook and saying bye to Brandon. We blazed to interior where we met Megan and entered the badlands. We named each color of rock (vanilla, mint, strawberry) in the alien looking landscape while climbing steep hills. We were stunned by the variety of rock formations. Exiting the badlands we hit the largest single company shopping mall in SD, Wall Drugs, where we bought new propane, donuts, and were in awe of the level of consumerism. Riding downhill we setup camp in a ghost town and ended the day by cooking burritos and changing out heavily worn tires.
