This morning we started up the 30 mile long Spearfish Canyon climb and reached our highest elevation of the trip, almost 6300 feet. A lunchtime nap recharged us for another big climb. A super smooth gravel trail brought us all the way to Hill City where naturally we stopped at a gas station. Some devious hills gave us our biggest climbing day yet. Winding roads and a lot of train track crossings brought us to our last climb into Rapid City. A culvers stop for dinner gave us the last bit of energy needed to make it to our camp spot. When we reached camp the gGrmin read 98 miles so of course some laps around the block were done to reach 100.
