A relatively timely start to the day led our group out of the very bear mindful campsite we had stayed in the night before. After going for about 20 miles, we made a pit stop in Ovando; a scarce little town, for water. After being charmed by the town and the people in it, we decided to stop more decidedly there to have brunch. After resuming biking, a strong headwind sprang up, slowing progress significantly. A narrow road and fast cars led to some close calls, but in the end, everyone successfully made it to the end goal for the day: Lincoln, Montana. Being unusually ahead of schedule, due to the short nature of the day, dilly-dallying was permitted including a much needed soft-serve stop, and firewood acquisition to facilitate a campfire later that night. Upon reaching the campsite after more strenuous headwinds, dinner (kebabs) was prepared, and enjoyed as a group. Dinner was packed up under light but impending rain showers, and the Jiffy pop, which had been carried and anticipated for weeks, was ultimately declared a partial failure, as the crushed packaging spilt the popcorn all over the fire. Reflections were time consuming, and thought invoking: describing 3 values that are important to you and how you exhibit them in your life. Megan also exhibited her extensive knowledge of pressure points on the group, leaving the day with a relaxed, yet spirited vibe.
