We started our third day in a row of sleeping under a roof in our ice box hotel room. We took over the lobby with our gigantanourmous bikes and enjoyed the lavish continental breakfast at the Fairview inn. We got on the bike path which foreshadowed the day to come. We followed Kamoots auto routing which took us to a not so bike friendly road. Peter found us a bike path that was two miles away but was bound to be better than the road we were on. The road was a treed in gravel path that instantly brought our day up. We stayed on the path for nearly 70 miles to Milwaukee. The path was not all sunshine and rainbows as it brought us three flats all of which taking longer than thirty minutes, losing Charlies brakes pads without him knowing and making our bikes and bottles the dirtiest they have been the entire trip. Adahm (our Mascot stuffed animal) got to spend the day caged up in Charlies front pouch as Charlie has assumed the role of protecting Adahm. As the rain picked up we had a gas station stop in Sullivan and enjoyed fun drinks, sweet treats, and a eeffoc cake. It was a trudge in the rain with our raisin hands that had been fermenting since the rain started and our damp clothes and sopping feet. We bikes through Milwaukee which is fair to say we did not get a good tour of the city as we saw lots if chaos and comotuib as we hiked through. We got to a bike store near the ferry where we got some emergency bike repairs for Charlie (missing brake pads) and Lucas (missing derailleur cable). We aired out our feet and yard saled at the bike shop while Ben went to get us burritos for dinner. We found out some of the best and most awaited news… that Peter is coming with us all of the way to the big Manzana. We met Peters loving Grandparents and Sarah as we boarded the high speed ferry to Muskegon where will finally be on East coast time! We went ham on our burritos and enjoyed the kiddie pool snacks that Peters mother brought us and took small siestas.
